Whether it is voicing a documentary on ‘Norland Nannies’ or being asked
to ‘be’ the voice of a Bosnian refugee, Helen
can adapt her voice to sensitive fit any mood
and tone.
She has voiced numerous documentaries for the
BBC including ‘The making of Alexander’
to ‘The Big day’ for Granada, ‘The Pony
Club’ for Channel 4, to name a few.
Helen was chosen to be the reader for most of
Jacqueline Wilson’s award winning Children’s Stories
from ‘Tracey Beaker’ to ‘Lola Rose’,
‘The worry website’ and many more.
Countless children’s books have been brought
to life by Helen including ‘My naughty little
sister’ and ‘b’.
Her adult narration spans Humorous Chic lit by
Wendy Holden, to a moving serious novel by Ali
Smith and many others including several for BBC
radio 4 short stories.
Commercials have long been Helen specialty where
her range of accents, singing and precise mood
depictions are caught in seconds.
Successful campaigns have been ‘Horlicks’
for television, ‘Maryland Maxi’ and ‘Advcoat’
for both TV and Cinema.
